OOD for both days was John Henderson EDMYC.

The start of PRACC 5 was delayed for approx 50 minutes due to a lack of wind  but as so often happens in Eastbourne the sea breeze moved in and we then had a steady breeze veering around from  the south west for the remainder of the day.  Peter Wiles dominated the event and apart from  wins by Vernon Appleton, Richard Uttley and Bob Conner, he took first place in every race.   Although Peter managed to sail away from the fleet  into first place, there was considerable competition for the top positions with Vernon Appleton (Coalhouse Fort) taking second place and  new A Class skipper Jeremy Collier( Eastbourne) taking  third place with Bob Conner (Woodspring) fourth.    There were plenty of tea breaks but a total of seventeen races were managed  before close of play.

PRACC 6 started with a steady breeze from the off with Peter Wiles winning the first five races. Ray Steele broke his monopoly in race six but Peter won the next five races.  Bob Conner won race eleven with Trevor Binks winning races twelve and thirteen.  The remaining five races found Peter in first place again.   At the end of the day and after seventeen races,  Peter Wiles(Poole) was in first place with Vernon Appleton(Coalhouse Fort)  second and Bob Conner(Woodspring) third.   Richard Uttley (Emsworth) was fourth.

The OOD and EDMYC helpers would like to express their thanks to competitors for their sporting attitude over the two days which made it a pleasure to host these events.
