2013 PRACC Finale Reschedule

September 24, 2013

Fresh in from John Smith at Gosport.

Gents,

I am sorry for the short notice of this but we have been trying to find a suitable replacement date.  This is achievable in respect of the PRACC round but sadly not in respect of the Nationals.

Following intense negotiations with Gosport Borough Council and Natural England  by Mervyn Cook, our Commodore and John Storey, our Vice Commodore, we have had another weed cut and additional club member working parties this week.  This, combined with the drop in temperature has made a dramatic transformation in the condition of the lake.  As a result of this with the total support of the club committee we are able to institute a replacement Race Meeting for the originally cancelled RA PRACC Round 9.

I am e-mailing you all specifically as you have both supported the PRACC series this year, and you had entered for the RA Nationals which was to have been combined with PRACC Round 9.

I am therefore issuing this invitation for you to join us at Gosport on Sunday 13th October for the replacement PRACC Round 9.  I have already liaised with David and he is delighted that we can arrange this and it will be, as it was to have been, the final round of the 2013 Series, the PRACC prizes will also be presented at the end of racing.

I am conscious that the R36 Nationals also take place on that day but 13th October represented the best opportunity to slot in the event.   As I have your boat details from the Nationals entry form, unless any aspects have changed, could I ask please that you simply confirm if you will be able to attend. we intend to start racing by 10.00 a.m.  No race to start after 4.00 p.m. and any race still in progress at 4.15 will be abandoned to permit prizes to be presented around 4.30 – 4.45

I hope to see you all.

John
